It feels like just yesterday that we were writing about:

-Quarantining and moving our events to webinars as the country was in lock-down and “virtual” mode;
-Remembering the Women Who Made Us as we recognized the 100th year anniversary of the 9th
Amendment – our right to vote as women;
-Discussing how to cope with stress and the significant pulls of WFH, managing school days from home,
and a global pandemic;
-Sharing grief, anger, and then resilience with the brutal murders of multiple African American citizens at
the hands of law enforcement;
-Celebrating the incredible feminists who have changed policy in the country –RBG and Gloria Steinem.

‘Effing 2020. Is there really anything to be grateful for?
Of course, the answer for Baes is yes.

For many of us, we have our health. Or we have recovery from COVID-19 for us and our loved ones. Or for
those that succumbed to this deadly virus, we have the memories, the laughter, and the love that they
shared with us.

We have jobs—or fresh starts. Like so many industries, we’ve been hit hard. But our resilience is
showing. Media has been a source of information, entertainment, and comfort for so many. We should
take pride in what we have done and will do.

We have solidarity. In such a divisive climate and spiteful election race, we have seen how each individual
voice matters. Whether it’s Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Gloria Steinem, or each of us, we count.

And, finally – we have each other. Through it all, we have kept in touch, gathered virtually, and shared
our full range of emotions, hopes, and fears. We are a community of smart, inclusive, supportive,
professionals that care for our industry and Baes.

We are beyond grateful for YOU and what we continue to achieve together.

Thank you for your engagement, support, good karma, and being the brilliant Baes that you are. Yes, it’s
been one doozy of a year—but our defiance, grit, grace, inspiration, and transformation skills have made
us stronger. As you celebrate Thanksgiving this week, remember your virtual Bae community, take care,
and stay safe.

We ‘effing love you all,
Brenda, Christina, Heather, Sarah & Seema
